
After serving in “Her Majesty’s Armed Forces” for 22 years Sid made a smooth transition into “Civvy Street” in 2001 working and successfully managing a local Property Lettings Business within another Estate Agent in Wellingborough. Noticing Martin Hawksby’s progress and success in the town of Wellingborough, Sid transferred to our business as an Instruction Manager during 2002. After doing that role for Martin for 2 years successfully, the decision was made to open Martin Hawksby - Residential Lettings In Wellingborough together as joint partners. Sid would be the working Partner completely running the business and developing a substantial market share for Properties To Let In Northamptonshire.
Sid is a local Northants man and knows the East Northants Area like the back of his hand. His time in the Wellingborough office, ingrained a new business culture within himself wishing to deliver total satisfaction to the customer, as we endeavour to do, all the time in the Estate Agency business. Sid was also keen to harness the successful existent team spirit from the agency, keenly recognising the large full time team around him to assist the business. The customer always comes first in Sid’s mind, and with this spirit and determination, Sid’s simple aims of creating the best and most customer focussed letting business in East Northants is well under way.
Martin’s last role prior to running his own business during 2000 & early 2001 was as a “Regional Director” responsible for the running of 26 Estate Agency Branches including their Lettings Businesses.
Prior to that Martin worked closely with one of the Regions most experienced and talented letting agents - Ron Clarke, in the Peterborough & Cambs area where Martin learnt most of what he now knows in respect of running a successful “Lettings” business.
Martin only considered opening the Lettings business if higher standards could be delivered up & over the competition against other Letting Agents In Northants Martin felt firstly, the time was right and that the competition, at best mainly provided mediocre to good levels service - but that was all! Martin decided that with the ingredients of a successful estate agency in Northants, Sid's experience and Martin's mentoring of Ron the ingredients were in place. Martin and Sid believed they could deliver to the East Northants public something they needed. A first rate customer centered lettings business.
Combining Martin’s 20 year local experience and with increased demand for lettings during 2005 onwards, Sid’s previous successful stewardship of another lettings business, Martins Regional involvement in over 20 separate lettings businesses and the fact that Martin Hawksby is the leading estate agent business in the area - The business has never looked back!

Notes for the Tenant
The tenancy will be an Assured Shorthold Tenancy. The initial period shall be a minimum of 6 months.
The rent is payable monthly in advance. The first months rent, together with the deposit, which is equal to one months rent plus £100.00 is payable on signing the agreement. This amount must be either a banker’s draft, building society cheque or cash.
Housing benefit recipients will be considered if they can provide the deposit and the first months rent in advance, together with a guarantor.
References will be taken up from employers and bankers of each tenant and guarantor if necessary. All adult occupiers will be named as joint tenants on the agreement. A fee of £100.00 + VAT, for each tenant or guarantor is payable to cover these costs. (This sum is not refundable)
The rent can be paid by standing order.
THE TENANT is responsible for:
Charges in respect of electricity, gas, water, telephone and council tax. They are responsible for arranging meter readings before commencement and termination of the tenancy.
Keeping the property in a clean and good state of repair and decoration to the standard on taking possession as shown on the schedule of condition.
Any redecoration to be agreed, in writing, with the landlord or the agent before commencement of works.
Maintaining the garden to a fit state of cultivation, weed flower beds and cut grass and the disposal of garden waste.
Ensuring that items on the inventory are in a satisfactory condition on termination of the tenancy.
No pets are to be kept on the property except with the express written consent of the landlord or agent
